Just some more kind people who have donated money
Andover Neighbourcare would like to say a huge thank you to Cllr Iris Anderson, Cllr Vikki Harber and Cllr Jan Budzynski for the grant of £1000 from St Marys Ward. The grant received was given to purchase a new counter and rails for our charity shop.
The previous counter had been there since the shop was opened and was made by one of the volunteers. The new counter has made a huge difference to the look of the shop and the rails are still to be purchased.
Neighbourcare has many regular customers who are most impressed with the new look and we are very grateful for the support of St Mary's Ward, our loyal customers and for all the donations.
All proceeds are used to support the charities services, running costs and rents.
Neighbourcare still provides, cleaning, gardening, sitting, shopping. Transport to hospitals, doctors, clubs, shops and others. ' Bus Outings',' Buddie Scheme' and 'Book Shop'. We also still help with some of our old clients that used to use our 'Silver Surfers' and cannot get the help they need with their computers.
I would like to thank Ian Thurlow for his donation of £100 which is one of many. Ian raises the donations by visiting his old 'Silver Surfer Friends' who still struggle with their computers since our service closed. Your dedication is very much appreciated and also our website which he keeps up to date.
Many thanks to the Andover Martial Arts for another kind donation of £258. This was raised once again at their free over 60's Dawn Breakers Class.
Once again we must give a huge thank you to Andover Martial Arts for their kind donation of £207 raised at their over 60s Dawn Breakers class. This makes a total of £712 donated since November 2021.
Many thanks to Simplyhealth for their wonderful donation of £2,800. As part of their commitment to support local charities the staff were asked to vote for a charity to receive funding. As a result Andover Neighbourcare received the above amount. It was a great Christmas present. Your continued support is much appreciated.
On behalf of Andover Neighbourcare I would like to thank the Andover Martial Arts & Fitness Centre for their kind donation of £247. This was raised at the Dawn Breakers Silver fitness class. These sessions are free for the over 60's and they only ask for a donation which they give to a local charity. Further details can be found on their website
A huge thank you to 'The Golden Eagles Line Dancers' from Andover Neighbourcare for their generous donation of £500.
This money was raised from the Christmas party and raffle and competitions. Neighbourcare would like to say a huge thank you to Michael Clark for his kind donation of £700 that was raised from his annual pool tournament in memory of his father "Mick Clark". This generous donation will help towards delivering our services to the local community and is very much appreciated.

Neighbourcare would like to thank Simplyhealth for their kind donation of £5,000 which was received at Christmas. We were one of nine local charities that shared an incredible £40,000 given to help charities suffering from reduced incomes during the pandemic. It will make a huge difference to Neighbourcare and all the other charities in receipt of these generous gifts.

A huge thank you to Arthur Dearden Chairman of the Andover Bridge Club. The club closed during Covid 19 and have decided not to re open due to dwindling people attending and the high cost of hiring the hall. This club has been going for many years and will be sadly missed. The club wished to donate what they had left in the bank £970 to a local charity and choose Neighbourcare. Thank you Mr Dearden for supporting Neighbourcare and a well deserved thank you for all you have given to the community.

A huge thank you to Clemmie Behrens 11 years old and her friend Eliza Isdell - Carpenter from Vernham Dean who raised £106.48p for Andover Neighbourcare. They raised the money by organising some socially distant , contact-less fun for the village. This included guessing the sweets in the jar, guessing the name of the teddy and a visual treasure hunt. Walkers and passers-by were very supportive from afar. The girls hoped to raise £50 so they were delighted to double the amount. Well done girls, your efforts are very much appreciated. A grateful thank you to 'Pure Cremations' of Andover for their donation of £2,000 to help Andover Neighbourcare during these difficult times. The charity is still providing, shopping, fetching prescriptions, limited transport to hospitals and doctors, a buddying telephone service for anyone wanting a chat due to their isolation. The 4 Toons community entertainment group raised £180 for Neighbourcare at their party night at the Hayward Suite, Wolverdene Club last month. Many thanks to the club for giving the venue for free and a huge thanks to the 4 Toons who are regular fundraisers for Neighbourcare. A great deal of hard work went in to organising the event for which we are most grateful.
A great Christmas party was held at the Masonic Hall on December 5th. Over 100 members enjoyed a wonderful meal and entertainment to celebrate Christmas and also the charities 25th anniversary. Romama Adbin Chief Executive of Simplyhealth was joined by members of the companies leadership team who all volunteered to set up and serve the lunch.

Freemasons from The Hampshire Masonic Order of the Secret Monitor selected Andover Neighbourcare to receive a donation of £500 towards the running costs of the charity. Head of the order Mick Hayward presented the cheque. The charity is very grateful for all the support they receive from all the lodges

Andover Neighbourcare would like to thank Roger Cotton, Debbie Clark and team, Helen Coomber and team and Paul Jeans from Simplyhealth for the best Christmas present ever. In 1998 the charity was given a mini bus from the lottery which unfortunately died earlier this year, leaving us no other choice but to hire a bus to carry on our activities. Hearing of our plight a funding application to raise funds to help replace the bus was presented to the Head of Charitable Giving. Pam Delderfield manager of Neighbourcare was overwhelmed when given a donation of £30,000 from this local healthcare provider at the members Christmas party in the Masonic Hall.
Andover Neighbourcare members Christmas party was a huge success. Once again Helen Perrin brought her team from Simply Health who set tables and cleared. The team also entertained the members with a quiz and ran a raffle that raised £177. Simply Health also donated £500 towards a present for those attending and supplied the crackers and mince pies. A huge thank you to all that helped to make the day such fun.
Saint Hubert Lodge kindly offered to contribute to our members Christmas party this year. The lodge provided sherry and wine and sorted the venue with Danny Weymouth the manager of the Masonic Hall. A super two course meal was provided by Alan Mead and his team and a great time was had by all. Special thanks to Paul Jeans and Roger Sims for all their efforts. Alderman Rod Bailey trustee of Neighbourcare attended the event and warmly thanked everyone involved.
Andover Neighbourcare would like to thank Anton Masonic Lodge for their kind donation of £370. Anton Lodge has always supported Neighbourcare since it started 25 years ago. With no secured funding the charity now relies solely on the generosity of the public, local organisations and local business. Thanks to all that support the charity we are all very grateful .
